About me!

KissMy name is Amanda McGonigal and I am a committee member of the Westquarter & Redding Community Project. I have currently just finished doing a course in Health Issues In The Community part 1, which I have really enjoyed. I am looking forward to starting part 2 soon.  Smile I'm also working alongside other members to put this website together. We are also working on a community newsletter to inform the community of what the project has to offer, along with a community survay to find out what the community would like to see in the project. Innocent I also am a volunteer for the Kidz club which runs on a Monday night for the kids in p1-p4. I am really enjoying working along side the community project members, they are very friendly, helpful and supportive.

Emma Nolan - Community Learning and Development Student

My name is Emma Nolan and I am a Community Learning and Development Student (CLD) on placement with Falkirk Council's Community Development and Capacity Building Team from January to March 2009. I have been working with the Management committee within the Westquarter and Redding Community project on a variety of things which include:

  •  Producing a community newsletter
  •  Producing a community survey to find out what the community would like to see happening with the new community wing.
  • Planning, structuring and starting up some new groups such as the W.A.G's

I have learned a lot while I have been here and also had a lot of fun and laughter with the people involved in the Project. It has been a pleasure to work with the people involved in the project. They are really warm, friendly and welcoming and I have never once felt like an outsider - quite the opposite, I have felt right at home. I will miss everyone greatly when it comes time for me to leave Cry
